That is a fantastic job!   It looks 100 times better and the floors and walls are incredible.  Especially the vestibule.  I also noticed you have done the small cupboard in the hall which I didn’t realize had been damp proofed.  I like the work you did on the floor in living room . Really compliments the original flooring.   The new doors and windows are also great and certainly improve the overall aesthetics.

I’m sure the neighbors will notice a difference on the outside but the real work has got to be the damp proofing. Wish I could see it for myself and my mum said the flat smells nice and dry compared to the damp musty smell before. Just to think I was only wanting the hallway done at first. Definitely worth every penny.

Grant was one of three people asked to bid on this work. Grant's bid was competitive but, just as important, our previous experience of working with him had demonstrated that he always went the extra mile to ensure that we were happy with the work and that everything was finished to the highest quality. 

The scope of the work was fairly substantial involving making new door and window openings through stone walls over 2' think, converting an old garage attic into the apartment and ensuring that the end result was consistent with the other existing buildings and finish of the development. Grant used one principle joiner but coordinated several other contractors seamlessly to ensure that all the work was completed in a timely manner and in line with budget estimates. As is only to be expected with working on buildings that are 200 years old, problems did arise but these were dealt with in a professional and appropriate manner.

The end result was a very high-quality conversion, beautifully finished and exactly what we were hoping for.
